Founders Caroline Huo & Kit Payne
Kit Payne and Caroline K. Huo, two women entrepreneurs who dared to follow a dream, started ImagineUs! LLC in 1999. As friends and co-workers at a high tech consulting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kit and Caroline realized that they wanted to do something more fulfilling but did not know what or where to start. With Caroline being a new mother and Kit always loving children, the more they talked, the more they established that what they were looking for was something to help make parenting easier in this hectic world. Their goal evolved to seek and find outstanding products from around the world that would benefit parents in the United States. As part of their dream of giving back to society, and especially to children, they pledged that a portion of their profits would be donated to the Leukemia Society of America, the Make a Wish Foundation and the American Cancer Society. In a leap of faith, Kit and Caroline quit their jobs and started ImagineUs! LLC. Their very first product, Doctor StrawTM, immediately received rave reviews and was one of the winners at the 1999 JPMA “Show Off” Competition. This was validation that they were on the right track and their vision and choice of product was really what parents were looking for. ImagineUs! has received hundreds of emails singing praises of Doctor StrawTM. One mother told Caroline that her son’s Reflux had disappeared after using Doctor StrawTM. One year later, the highly anticipated Pack ‘n GoGoTM debuted at the 2000 JPMA Show. A nationwide bestseller, Pack ‘n GoGoTM is to be featured in Pregnancy Magazine’s “Must Have for 2002” issue and the product is delighting parents everywhere, from Seattle to Singapore. After two and a half years, ImagineUs! has evolved into the comapany that Kit and Caroline dreamed of; one that creates wonderful products that parents can depend on to make parenting just a little bit easier.
